MCPE Modding w/o Blocklauncher

So I've been attempting to add the Wavy Worlds mod (jacopa3) since I seen it; I absolutely fell in love with it. However, because I have an Asus Memopad with an Intel processor, Blocklauncher is not supported.

So I went deeper. Using Clean Master (Cheetah Mobile: excellent app, folks with intel processors should use the x86 version. 10/10 would speed up my device again) I created a backup apk for MCPE which I transferred to my sluggish Galaxy Tab4 (3/10 would not buy again) to make sure it would install and run without problems. It did.

Next I transferred the apk to my pc and extracted it using 7zip. Then I cut/pasted the mod into the correct folders. Compress to zip, reassign as apk, then transfer back to my Galaxy for testing. It would not install due to a parsing error, which I found to be the result of not properly signing the apk.

Then I downloaded some neat freeware called APK Icon Editor (Qwerty Minds 2014). Though it was created to allow users to change the icon the app uses to display itself on your homescreen, it also had the capability to sign apks so you could actually install the app with your changes. Ok, excellent.

So I delete the modified apk and start from scratch. Extract, cut/paste mod contents, compress to zip. Extract the zip with APK Icon Editor and change the version number up one point for kicks, then compress to apk. Transfer to the Galaxy and install. 'Do you want to blah blah' YES. And it worked. I was so excited. Finally, Minecraft will be brought to life!

However, I disconnected Galaxy from PC and ran MCPE, only to have it always crash the second its opened. I don't see any reason why this isn't working. Anybody know what I haven't done properly?
